PROJECT: WEB DESIGN, BRAND VOICE, AND DIGITAL MARKETING STRATEGY
Climate Smart provides data and training for businesses looking to profitably reduce their carbon footprint. Climate Smart Certified businesses are leaders whose investment in reducing carbon often leads to impressive bottom-line savings. The organization wanted a digital experience to match its industry-leading, world-changing work. And we delivered.

Before diving into web design, we worked with Climate Smart to author a comprehensive site map of all the necessary content, then developed a brand voice for the organization that matched its extreme professionalism and inviting good nature. Our strategy for the brand voice was a collision of heart and business. It’s friendly and playful while also being rooted in science and data.
We brought the voice to life by writing the full website as we expanded on Climate Smart’s visual brand assets to accentuate the message. We built onto their somewhat limiting colour palette with some brighter hues, authored a photo strategy, and added a grid pattern and a series of custom shapes and illustrations to the visual library. By strengthening Climate Smart’s brand foundation, we were able to make smart and interesting choices in the web design phase and create a set of dynamic page templates.
In addition to creating a brand voice and web design, we supported Climate Smart with a digital strategy to help them market their new site. This plan included SEO guidelines, keyword research, and content recommendations for blogs and digital ads on Google, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
